About Trail Ventures BC
Trail Ventures BC Inc. (TVBC) was founded by Claudia of Burnaby, BC in 2004. Her love of outdoor activities such as backpacking, mountaineering and mountain biking combined with interests in biology, botany, photography and cartography provides a natural fit to creating quality recreational maps and guidebooks of beautiful BC. While spending time mapping BC’s wilderness areas, Claudia also devotes time to identify and generally research the flora including trees, shrubs, wild flowers and other plants. Likewise, similar work is made with respect to the fauna – mammals, amphibians, birds, rodents, arachnids, and insects; and fungi. These and other interests such as history and culture have also taken them to travel to many countries throughout the world. Claudia holds a doctorate degree in biotechnology.
Trail Ventures BC strives to produce accurate and reliable outdoor recreational maps and guidebooks which we hope will help facilitate interaction between people and nature. Through this interaction a better understanding and appreciation of our natural world can be made.
Trail Ventures BC’s products provide guidance to encourage minimal environmental impact and conflict of use. Thorough consultation with local businesses, BC Parks, BC Forest Service, district and other relevant parties is made prior to completion of any product.
